Idaho Falls

July 5th, 2002

During the weekend of July 4th, I rode the ZRX up to Idaho Falls, Idaho. This was a 2 day ride. To get there, I started off on highway 66, which led to highway 287. Rode 287 up into Wyoming, where it intersects with interstate 80 at Laramie. Rode 80 all the way to Rock Springs, where I turned right at highway 191. 191 turns into 189 & 191 at Cora, then back into 191 at Hoback Junction. At the border of Idaho and Wyoming, 191 turns into highway 26. 26 goes straight to Idaho Falls, where I spent the night at Motel West. The next morning, I rode West on highway 20 to the Craters of the Moon National Monument. Cool place. After visiting Craters of the Moon, I went home using the same route. There wasn't much in the way of alternatives. Didn't get there until 1 am. Total mileage for the trip was 1369.3 miles. The ZRX held up very well. Riding confort was good enough to do the job, if not great.
